Hometown Supermarket and Chinese Restaurant: A Delightful Fusion of Grocery and Authentic Asian Cuisine

Who knew one could have so much fun at a grocery store? We started out with a fabulous lunch at their Chinese restaurant and then we explored the rest of the store for two hours. There was a huge variety of fresh seafood, including live fish and lobster. There were whole roasted ducks, a huge assortment of pots, pans and kitchen goods, not to mention a very large produce section of fruits and vegetables I have never heard of. Not only was there a huge variety of Asian foods, but there was a Hispanic section as well. I had a wonderful time and I discovered some new foods to try. I look forward to going back soon.

So we’re big Asian cuisine fans. Wow wow wow this supermarket here is one of a kind. First of all it’s massive, so many aisles of different cultured foods, fresh foods, beverages, vegetables and a restaurant. You have to visit this place, there isn’t customer on the floor but everything is justified and simple to read and the food products have pictures on the pkgs . My daughter of course bought foods that have been posted on TikTok and it didn’t disappoint. Now that we know what to expect I’m sure we’d be here weekly if not monthly. Another thing to this place was very well clean and organized and very easy to maneuver around.

This was great! They had a lot of things to choose from. I bought some crunchy garlic chili oil, only bought 2 now I'm out so I have to go back to get the 6pk. They're 6.99$ each but it's worth it!

Glad to find a place in Alabama where I could get my beloved Lee Kum Kee chiu chow chili oil before I head back to Thailand. We don’t have that particular brand of chili crisp there and it’s my favorite.

They have food from around the world there even stuff from Nigeria which made my husband extremely happy finding agege bread and his native yam. I found the viral ice cream and some other bakery goods. They have live crabs, clams, conch and other fish on ice. Little pricey but it’s all imported foods. If you’re looking for something they got it fruits, vegetables ,frozen items and novelty items.

This place is one of the best Asian grocery stores I've been to. Great produce and meats for affordable prices, home cooked foods sold in the mornings (my favourite are the sticky rice dumplings), and friendly atmosphere. Always a regular stomping ground when I'm trying to cook for friends and family

This is the biggest Asian supermarket in the Birmingham area. Probably more than 20,000 items in the store including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a huge assortment of live fish and seafood. Where else can you buy the beautiful parrot fish! There’s even a huge selection of cooking utensils, and dinnerware. These is an unique selection of beers and wines found nowhere else. This is one of the very few places I would say that grocery shopping can be exciting! Check out the pictures and see if you don’t agree.

I love this place and every time I go there, they have something new. They've added a section of fresh and frozen meats more typically used in Asian cooking. Also, they always have a big variety of Asian snacks, which is mostly what I go there for
